The following tips may be helpful to avoid any unwanted environmental issues developing with your beloved Redsbaby products.
Mould:
Airing your product regularly is the best way to prevent mould from developing. Before storing away, ensure that your product is completely dry. Store your product in a well-ventilated space. Storing damp products or products in poorly ventilated areas can promote mould growth. Remember that mould can develop very quickly in high-moisture environments. Check your product regularly for dampness and store it following these recommendations to minimise the risk.
Rust:
Rust can develop whenever your pram is in high-humidity environments or becomes wet. In particular, sea salt increases the rate and severity at which rust develops on metal parts. Following exposure to high humidity, moisture and/or sea salt (such as visits to the beach or rain) wipe the metal parts down with warm water and dry them with a soft, lint-free cloth. Following these regular care and maintenance instructions will help protect your product.
Regular Maintenance:
It is recommended that you spray any moving parts of your Redsbaby product, such as the wheels and folding mechanism, with a silicone lubricant once every 8-12 weeks. This will ensure your Redsbaby pram is kept at optimal operating use.
Note: Lubricants should only be used sparingly, as overuse may encourage the accumulation of dirt in the moving parts. You should only use a lubricant marked as a ‘Silicone Lubricant’. Using another lubricant, such as WD40, could deteriorate the plastic parts of your pram and interfere with its structural integrity.
We would also recommend ensuring the screws are tightened around the footrest regularly.
